Here is another type of oscillator, with its frequency depending on the temperature of the diode. After wiring the Circuit and con- necting the battery, a sound can be heard from the speaker. Heat the diode carefully by bringing a match flame in direct contact with it. A change of tone can be heard from the speaker. At dif- ferent temperatures, different sounds are heard from the speaker. Note: Do not over heat the diode to avoid damage. Heat the diode for about one to three seconds

LOW FREQUENCYY OSCILATOR LOW FREQUENCYY OSCILATOR Wire the Cireuit as shown in the diagram. Since this is your first Circuit, make sure the connections are right. Check the wiring again and then connect the battery. A sound can be heard from the speaker. This is the low frequency audio oscillator. Compare the seund with the next Circuit(No.2, High Frequency Oscillator) and you can find the difference between the Low and High Fre- quency Audio Oscillators
